Launching in 2022, we look at the ‘Fundamentals of Endurance Training’ with G.I.W.G.

We focus on increasing your energy levels, so you can perform movements and activities throughout your day with a strong body, without getting tired.

‘Fit’ is the new ‘It’.

Improve your muscular fitness, muscle endurance and overall muscle strength, both important for everyday life, using your everyday surroundings. Find the joy in exercise, and do exercises you enjoy. Build your fitness flow with regular exercise - improve stamina and endurance. Change the way you move to see fitness defined differently.

Important definitions for movement:

Cardiovascular endurance is the ability of your heart and lungs to fuel your body with oxygen.

Muscular endurance is the ability of your muscles to work continuously without getting tired.

  • The importance of setting realistic goals based on your own health and abilities.

  • Develop muscular fitness – build strong and healthier muscles and bones.

  • Improve your endurance fitness.

  • Balance your exercise workout, be consistent in your everyday world.

  • Decrease the risk of injury with activity.

  • Boost your mood using athletic (physical) activity, anywhere, anytime.

  • Maintain defined muscles and overall body tone.

  • Exercise at the right intensity (and for long enough).

  • Build endurance for all body movement actions.

  • Strengthen your aerobic metabolism (aerobic fitness uses the heart and lungs to deliver oxygen to the working muscles).

  • Focus on getting stronger and fitter.

  • Use resistance workouts as part of your movement sessions.

  • Understand how endurance activity can reduce the risk of many diseases (i.e. diabetes, heart disease and stroke).

  • Learn how exercise can improve endurance, flexibility, posture, stability, strength and balance.

 

Any movement is better than no movement. Just start.

Over time, train to improve your aerobic energy system. Make everyday activities easier with endurance exercise.
