HALLOWEEN - Peppers wrapped in puff pastry dough

Chef George Tsoulis Halloween snacks that you will love.



INGREDIENTS

  • 6 horn or Florin peppers, peeled and cut horizontally in half

  • 240 gr. cheddar cheese, grated

  • 200 gr. cream cheese

  • 20 gr. fresh coriander, finely chopped

  • 1 tbsp. Bukovo (Boukovo, also known as "Mediterranean chili", is a spice)

  • 1 package of dough for croissants

  • 1 egg yolk, for the spread

  • salt

  • pepper

For serving:

  • yoghurt

  • olives, sliced



PREPARATION & EXECUTION


1 In a large bowl, pour the cream cheese, cheddar, boukovo, coriander, season with salt and pepper and mix with your hands, until the ingredients are homogenous.


2 Then, fill the peppers with the above mixture and leave them on a plate.


3 Next, we place the croissant dough on our workbench, which we have floured, we open it slightly with the rolling pin and we cut it into strips half a centimetre wide.


4 Then, wrap the stuffed peppers with the dough strips and place them on an oven tray lined with bake paper.


5 Then, grease the wrapped peppers with the yolk and bake in a preheated oven at 200 ° C in the air for 10-15 minutes. Once they are ready, let the peppers cool.


6 Finally, form in each pepper two eyes with yogurt and olives and serve.
