HALLOWEEN - Sausage mummies



Ingredients


For the dough

  • 80 g water, lukewarm

  • 1 pinch granulated sugar

  • 1 pinch salt

  • 8 g yeast

  • 150 g all-purpose flour

  • 1 tablespoon(s) olive oil


To assemble

  • 8 sausages

  • 1 egg, boiled, for the eyes

  • 1 olive, for the eyes



Method


For the dough

  • In a mixer’s bowl add the water, the sugar, the salt, the yeast, and stir well with a spoon until the yeast is dissolved.


  • Set the mixture aside, for about 10 minutes, so that the yeast is activated.


  • Then, add the flour, the olive oil, and beat with the hook attachment at low speed, for 8-10 minutes.


  • Remove the dough from the bowl, wrap it into a kitchen towel, and set it aside to rise for 30 minutes.


To assemble

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350° F) set to fan.


  • Cut pieces of the dough and, on a lightly greased surface, roll it out into a thin rope.


  • Wrap the sausages with the dough, leaving a small space unwrapped, where you will shape the eyes.


  • Bake for 15 minutes.


  • Remove the sausages from the oven, shape the “eyes” with the egg white and the olive, and serve.
