Ingredients
For the dough
80 g water, lukewarm
1 pinch granulated sugar
1 pinch salt
8 g yeast
150 g all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon(s) olive oil
To assemble
8 sausages
1 egg, boiled, for the eyes
1 olive, for the eyes
Method
For the dough
In a mixer’s bowl add the water, the sugar, the salt, the yeast, and stir well with a spoon until the yeast is dissolved.
Set the mixture aside, for about 10 minutes, so that the yeast is activated.
Then, add the flour, the olive oil, and beat with the hook attachment at low speed, for 8-10 minutes.
Remove the dough from the bowl, wrap it into a kitchen towel, and set it aside to rise for 30 minutes.
To assemble
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350° F) set to fan.
Cut pieces of the dough and, on a lightly greased surface, roll it out into a thin rope.
Wrap the sausages with the dough, leaving a small space unwrapped, where you will shape the eyes.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Remove the sausages from the oven, shape the “eyes” with the egg white and the olive, and serve.
