The ANH&F Philosophy embraces basic moves & basic principles in building your fitness wellness. With the right nourishment and daily movement, your body will start to heal in the most incredible way. So, for everybody out there who really wants to start, start basic, or, begin again, and perhaps take a different approach on health and fitness.
The human body loves to move. It was made for it. When we move, we are lubricating our joints and muscles, conditioning our heart and other body organs, and overall, it’s such a great feeling because it’s a feel good factor - it’s an instant mood booster. Movement is such a positive sensation, so we must do it more.
Basic moves create a platform for a combination of body weight movement combinations. It’s not about doing the most challenging types of exercises, it’s about challenging your ‘self’, no matter what your fitness level. Focus on doing the movements well, so your body gets the benefit it should from the actions performed. Your fitness evolution is something your work on over time. Start where you can, and just do what you can do. It's a great start, and as time progresses, you will get stronger and fitter, and naturally, want to do more, and vary your interests in the types of exercise sessions (from weight training, to cardio, to barre, to dance, and so on).
To begin, begin. There is no planning required to 'begin' your fitness experience. There is one simple action that you must do to start your fitness evolution, that is, simply 'do'. An essential part of our wellness principle is 'motivation'. Learning to be 'self-motivated' is a powerful approach to getting things done. Create inspiration around you to fuel your motivational spirit, and ground yourself with genuine reasons to 'live': to live better, to do better, to live stronger & fitter, to live longer to be around for your family, to enjoy all that this planet has to offer (because it is a one-of-a-kind), and so much more. Whatever your own personal reasons are, embrace longevity in the best possible ways, 'mindset & behaviour', because that responsibility sits with you, and the choices your make each and every day - surround yourself with genuine & kind people (yes, kindness matters), make time for your 'self' and do the things 'you' love, bring 'inspiration' into your world every day (look at it, create it, read it, listen to it, feel it, talk about it), love the planet for all it provides for you (because everything we need to survive as the human species is generated by Planet Earth), be grateful more (even in the hardest moments, for they will not last forever), help others (it’s nourishing for the soul), experience more joy (fun & laughter), be more grounded as an individual (sensible & reasonable), and so much more.
'Do' movement whenever you have a moment, it does not need to be planned, or scheduled into a diary. Take the moment and make it yours - fitness is an experience, so a great way to get started or motivated, is to take the 'moment' and make it yours - own the moment, and M-O-V-E. The effort required to do smaller movement sessions, but more of them, is still the same effort we put into a longer movement session. The difference is the smaller movement sessions can be done at a more convenient time throughout your days' activities than the longer session period (where you will need to lock in a longer session in your day). What we mean is, for example, you can break up a 35 minute workout session into seven, 5 minute sessions throughout your day (to get a 35 minute workout), or you can do a 35 minute workout all at once. By doing smaller interval movement sessions, you can spend more time doing other activities that you want to be doing, and also feel great that you managed to not only look after your 'self', but you also had a great day doing a lot of other things. Without realizing, you 'had time' for everything you wanted to do - no excuses!
Make time for 'you'. A healthier 'you' means you bring your best to your world every day, and you can then also give your best to your loved ones - family & friends.

Our founder, George, finds joy in exercise every-day. See below, out for the day (beach culture & coffee time with his 'tribe' - 'tribin & vibin') and couldn't resist the opportunity to do a quick movement session - so worth it. He felt great and enjoyed the day for all its entirety.
